SOUL MAN - MAGNIFY THE LORD

Soul Man
LUKE 1:46-47
WELCOME TO PASTOR DR. CARLOTTA'S COUNSELING CENTER.
In bringing our soul under control is to teach the soul man to magnify the Lord. Look at Luke 1:46-47. Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit does rejoice in God my Savior." If the soul does not magnify the Lord, he will magnify his own reasoning. He will magnify himself and exalts himself against the knowledge of God.
The Spirit always rejoice in God, but the soul has to be taught how to magnify God. The soul must magnify the name of Jesus or it will definitely magnify something else. The soul is very efficient in exalting things. It exalts self-knowledge that means lifting up our thoughts and conclusions on a matter over God's thoughts.
The soul will exalt self wisdom, this is the wisdom that has come from wordly methods or wordly training over Godly wisdom. This wisdom is called "sensual" in James 3:15. James calls this superficial wisdom not Godly, but earthly, unspiritual animal devilish demonical. The Greek word is"psuchikos" or fleshly. The soul will exalt self-revelation.
We see this so evident in the cults that have sprung up around us. Some man's revelation or vision began to be exalted over the Word of God, resulting in a cult. II Peter 1:20 very plainly tells us that "no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation." We must teach the soul man to magnify the Lord, to magnify His Word.
In others words we must exalt the Word above our reasoning, logic and imaginations that are contrary to God's Word. We must refuse to let soul man say "I am in so much pain, I will never be healed" We must refuse that thought immediately, because the word says, He healed me with His stripe two thousand years ago."
We must magnify that Word. If we do not, God's Word will not exalt us into health. Let us resolve to make God's Word the final authority in our lives. Let us, through God's Word, unite soul and spirit and go on in this life He has given us with power and victory. Spiritual maturity is what we are after, not just spiritual experiences.
Spiritual experiences require little soul discipline. Spiritual experiences are more the matter of the moment. They are temporary in a sense. You can not live, exist, subsist alone with hype and emotions, for they are temporary. You do not live in or by the experience, but hopefully it wil begin to lead on to a deeper journey.
If you do not have the discipline after the experience then you will lose the experience and what it was intended for. The soul needs renewal, not just an experience. Our soul need a journey. Our house need more than just a spray paint, it needs to be remodeled. It needs to be interior decorated. Our soul needs more than an experience, it needs to be touched by God. We need to asking ourselves what is the quality of my soul?
Do I have depth in my soul? People who have an experience with God and have no spiritual maturity or no depth put into their soul, many times will become empty, disillusioned, and go away from God after the experience. God is wanting to renew, restore, refurbish our house. He is wanting to be made welcome to come in and enter into every room of our house and begin to renew, restore, and redecorate.
He is the "Master Interior Decorator." God wants us to reflect Him in our spirit/soul/body. Man is a trichotomy (three part being) where God placed authority in the spirit of man. God made man in His image. God made us three part beings so that we could reflect God in every part.
If you haven't accepted Christ as your Savior simply say in an audible voice, in all sincerity from the depths of your heart, "Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me of my sins and accept me as Your child. I accept You as my personal Savior and I promise to follow the instructions of Your Word from this day on. If I fail because I am human, please help pick me up so I can try again! Thank you, Jesus, for saving me from all my sins. AMEN."

Excellent article and teaching.
It is so true that if we don't exalt Him we will exalt ourselves or something or someone else.
I also agree that experience is only as useful as the change that it brings and the disciplines it inspires and we certainly can't seek experience over seeking Him.
My favorite part was about us being a 3 part being reflective of Him.
What comfort it brings every time I read here. Thank you so much for the blessing your words impart to us all...Blessings to you today and always.
I am reflecting him and he has decorated my life so well that my detractors are scared of what he has put on me but if i fail cos i am human, plz pick me up Jesus.
I loved this article Lottie. Our soul, our mind, will and emotions tend to glorify self rather than our Lord. Our spirit loves the Lord and is in constant communication with Him but our soul needs to constantly be refocused onto Jesus. It is a great reminder of just how much we need and depend on the Lord for everything. Awesome.
Oh how i would love to be there when you preach these words. You brought it home!! These old houses need fixn', paint is nice, but that's just the outer. I for one needed this message today. Thank you. God Bless you my Dear friend.
As the song says, "Oooooh, magnify the Lord". Good read, and thank you for sharing...
Your work is always a blessing. God Bless You Precious Heart.
You have definitely stimulated my senses this morning by writing what needs are meant for the soul and the spirit of God to be complete. So much wisdom and inspiring thoughts in this post. Personally it helps me so much when I read your writings for I too falter, and pick up and have to keep my eyes open, my life to live to please God and to do the good works he wants for me in life. Blessings to you as I still try to work through so many difficulties with a humble heart and a steadfast love for the Lord.
DrPastor Carlotta, Wonderful!!! It is important that we magnify the Lord in our lives. Meaning; It is important that He becomes a “BIG” part of our lives! The Lord as you say so wonderfully:” God is wanting to renew, restore, refurbish our house. He is wanting to be made welcome to come in and enter into every room of our house and begin to renew, restore, and redecorate” Amen! Having the Lord in our lives brings about a continual transformation. He is forever molding and shaping us in His image as we embrace His principles in our lives! He wants the Fruit of His Spirit to become apparent in our character! Yes He truly is "The Master Interior Decorator!"
Thank you for sharing, In HIS Love, Grace, Joy, Peace & Blessings! God Bless YOU!
Thanks for the exhaltation. Remain blessed.

I wait for God. I feel that God is telling me to go to another side of the world. I'll wait. I want my body to serve God. My soul is to serve God. I wait. I need a place to lie down. Another place. Is it the constant yearning to find God, serve God, find/keep peace? I'm so tired dear drpastorcarlotta. I'll wait for God. I'll go if God paves the way. Wherever it is. But- I must soon lie down. Surely I've seen enough. Surely there is some quest that suits my years. I think I must lie down elsewhere. I wait for God. I am eager to continue God's will. Thank you dear. The soul needs renewal.
